Greetings!

I have been working with children and families for over 25 years and have been working with the community of Escuela for 8 years. As the Educational Director I believe that each child is unique individual who needs to a secure, caring and stimulating atmosphere in which to grow and mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. I strongly believe that children' s development should be reinforced by providing quality education and preparing them for the future. As a leader, I am committed to supporting teaching staff in their teaching practices and ensuring children's needs are met and educational goals are achieved.

I completed a Master's degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Literature. I hold New York State Teaching certification in Birth-2nd grade and I am also certified in the Class Assessment Scoring (CLASS), Trauma Smart Coach and Medication Administration Training.

I am from the Dominican Republic and I have been in New York for thirty-three years. I come from a very traditional family. I have two younger sisters and an older brother. I have been happily married for thirty-one years and have  a beautiful family of two girls and a boy. I am also a grandmother of two beautiful granddaughters ages 4 and 7 who are the love of my life. A home, we have a cockatoo name Elvis and he has been in our family for over twenty years. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, taking care of my mom and cooking different dishes for my family and friends. I also love to help others and read books in the Spanish language.

I look forward to growing as an educator, advocate, and leader and to continue to provide the children, staff, and families with all the support and resources they need. I wish to continue to be an asset to the school and the community as a whole.
